Church Safety Seminar
With Detective Scott Chamberlain
-Who should I tell if there is a suspicious looking person hanging around?
-What do I do if someone has a medical emergency during a church service?
-Do our children's ministry volunteers know what to do if a non-custodial
parent tries to pick up their child from a classroom or playground?
-How would we handle someone who becomes loud and/or unruly on our campus?
-What if I saw someone concealing a weapon?
Or worse, what if there was someone threatening to use a weapon?
These questions and more will be addressed by Detective Scott Chamberlain as he teaches those who attend how to handle a variety of safety situations. You will leave with the tools, guidelines, and best practices you will need to put teams and safeguards in place to handle the scenarios listed above.
Still active in law enforcement, Detective Chamberlain provides consultations to churches throughout the U.S. in the formulation of policies and protocols, and provides classroom and hands-on training for safety teams. Detective Chamberlain served as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and has provided Personal Protection for many military officers, entertainers, high-profile speakers, and other VIPs. He has served as an instructor for law-enforcement courses, defensive tactics, and personal and physical security.
